this was a very short trip with my family and a few friends. It was kind of rush as there seem to be quite a few places where i would like to just take my time to go visit.
but still, a holiday is a holiday! and i just go there and unwind, enjoy the sights, enjoy the relaxation, and enjoy the damn cheap massage.
When we reached Bali, it was evening. We had someone from the hotel to fetch us. So off to Kuta! Hard Rock Hotel was the place we put up at. so we checked in and then went off to Kuta Square for dinner.

Kuta is probably a very touristy place. Hence prices could vary. We had a set of Nasi Campur for 45000Rp(S$1 = 6300Rp approx ). Like the chinese saying, i realise we got our heads cut off like carrots(or radish) when i saw some shops selling the same dish at about half the price.
Small shops outside shopping centres selling touristy stuffs like paintings, handmade crafts are about everywhere. prices are there for you to bargain! SO DO IT!

you do not want a situation where
Friend A says: Wah i bought this table cloth for 40000Rp. you got it too from the same shop?! how much you paid for it huh?
You: …………80000Rp…………………..
One place to visit is Jimbaran for seafood. Not that it is cheap and good, But probably just for the atmosphere where you sit along the beach, enjoying the sea breeze, enjoying your food. I was there when the weather was alittle wet. Probably on good days, you might enjoy a beautiful sunset while having dinner. There are quite a few restaurants there, probably serving roughly the same menu. Not sure if the price vary between the restaurants though.
A MUST DO in Bali is the body massages and spas! Cheap and good! I got one done for about 75000Rp for an hour of full body massage. You do not get even get a half hour foot massage in Singapore. You could probably easily find one along the streets of in the area of Kuta Square.
When some guides ask you if you wanna have a look at their traditional Barong dance, try to avoid if you do not wish to feel like an idiot. I went in, i watched some parts of traditional stuff, then soon it seems to me that the main draw of that particular show was the playing of the stuff animal’s genital. it was like watching some primary school kids fooling around.
If you love to marvel at mother nature’s creation, go have a look at a volcano. No you do not ascend the actual thing. You just go up to a nearby hill and view the volcano from there. Might be very cloudy.

Just outside the hotel, its the beach area. Available for rent are surfboards and bodyboards. You can bargain the rental fee too. rented a bodyboard for about 20000Rp for 2 hour, if i remember correctly. The waves are pretty ok for cheap thrills;p
So these are just some stuff i did over there in 3D2N. I think about 65-75% of the time was spent shopping with the girls………alittle torturing for my legs. Probably a day or 2 more would be more sufficient to tour bali.

a pen. that’s one of the gifts i got for my birthday. it feels balanced and it writes smooth.
funny how the giver thought of giving me a pen, when my handwriting is so atrocious that sometimes after writing, I myself couldn’t even decipher what i wrote.
Probably a way of telling me to improve my handwriting. maybe i could try to write out thoughts on paper. months of talking in computer gibberish makes me lose my already limited writing skills. probably trying to write out will help me organise my train of thoughts and in the meantime improve my handwriting.
its been sort of a whirlwind of holiday(pictures later), feasts and purely switching off from work. a welcoming break from work.however some transitions coming up. hopefully i will be able to adapt well.
